Here’s the Winter Wonderland Dress for my older daughter! I first blogged about it here, but then got a little sidetracked. But now I’ve finally finished it in time for her Winter Concert.
She designed it herself and sketched it using my Fashionary. I added the white belt because I hate waistline seams, and, to me, nothing says “bad design” like a visible one.
It’s made of soft knit. She only wears knits, and at this point I know better than to try to get her into a woven.

She looks great! I love how your kids draw you what they want you to make them. Inspired!
I love how she designed her dress. It so pretty. The belt really sets off the red and green
That is adorable.
I love how she designs her dress and you sew them up. She looks adorable. Does she want to learn how to sew, or is she happy to have her own dressmaker?
It’s hard for her to go through the learning process. She sees how hard I work on my (and her) garments, but she also sees that I end up with what I pictured in the beginning. She’s disappointed when her results don’t live up to her expectations.
What a beautiful outfit and it looks beautiful on her! What a budding fashionista!
Cute dress and she looks adorable in it!
I don’t comment often (did I ever??) but your creations based on your girls drawings are always among my favorites!!
LOVE this! Just love how it goes from idea to reality. 🙂
Oh, this is a beautiful dress and she looks so lovely in it!
