I’ve finally managed to put the snaps on my cashmere cardigan. I bought them in New York when I attended MPB Day. MPB Day was fabulous, as usual. Even if I had not acquired the snaps, it would have been a fantastic day. If you every get the chance to attend, you definitely should. There’s a strange kinship among people who share a hobby that makes it extremely pleasant to hang out together. I even got to meet Mainley Dad, whose blog I have been stalking for ages.
Anyway, I covered snaps with the same silk satin that I used for the trim. and sewed them onto the placket. The jacket is now complete.
Here are some detail photos:

It’s always good to finish a project – and even better when it looks as good as this!
Love covered snaps and yoiu have done a fantastic job from start to finish!
Okay now that you’ve swung back to making these types of clothes I’m flat out saying that I’m going to copy you. I love your flights of fancy garments and always wanted them…but where would I wear them to since I spend so much time at work. Now though you’re sewing things that with minor adjustments I could add to my wardrobe! I’m drooling over here!!!
Claudine, I also had a blast meeting you! I can’t wait to see what you do with that wild black fabric from Paron’s.
Covered snaps – the perfect finishing touch!
