This outfit came into my mind when I was perusing my fabric closet. I like to make something new for Patternreview Weekend, and I think I will debut this ensemble there. I made the top following the directions in the book Pattern Magic 1. That book is just so much fun! I used 2 different silk taffetas. One is a gold color plain weave, the other is a plaid jacquard weave, left over from this project. There was not enough of the taffeta for a whole garment for me, so I did not feel bad using a small amount of it.
I had to change thread in my machine about a million times during this project. More than once, I just could not face another thread change, and walked away to do something else for a while.
If you are wondering about the skirt, that post is coming tomorrow.

Wow! Wish I cuuld see it IRL!
Amazing!
Hi Claudine!
How are you doing? Soooo pleased to hear that you’ll be signing up again to this year’s MMM challenge. It wouldn’t be the same without your awesome ‘do the same thing on Friday’s’ mini-challenges! BTW, we should come up with a catchier thing to call that!
The sign-up post will go up later today or tomorrow
Lots of love

Aww, so bummed that I’m not gonna make it to PR weekend this year. This looks like it would be fabulous in person.
That’s too bad! We’ll miss you.
Amazing top! Always enjoy your creativity.
Love how you’ve combined these fabrics.
Have a great time at PR weekend.
