So that thought about wearing a cool mask while handing out candy on Halloween really took hold in my imagination, and I made one for me. The colors are a little different: blue with the orange rather than purple. I took some photos of my process this time, as well.

The knit fabrics that I used. I started with white rayon/lycra, then dyed it with my go-to dyes, Procion dyes from Dharma Trading. The blue is Wedgewood blue, I forget what the pink/orange is.

Wow! What a clever idea – I love it!
Great mask. You’ll be the best dressed mom on the block!
This is a great idea, and I love it! I’m sure the little hostess will enjoy it too 🙂
Great idea, and very classy!
Wow, that was some real instant gratification sewing! How fun!
Thanks for photographing the process. It’s very cool!!
This is just so stinkin’ kewl! So will you wear all black to go with the mask? And are you prepared for the foul weather that’s coming?! Last year it was snow for Halloween and this year it’s a freakin’ hurricane!
