GPOYW Fisherman Sweater

Wow, it’s been a while since I’ve done a GPOYW post. I’m just finishing up a big project, so that should leave me with more time for photos. Trousers blogged here.

I bought this wool sweater on ebay. I looked for a wool fisherman sweater for a while, but all the new fisherman sweaters available seem to be acrylic. This one that I bought is really great, except for the snug fitting waistband, which makes the bulky sweater balloon out in an unflattering 80’s way. I mostly fixed this by pulling out the side seams at the hem and adding a grosgrain placket. I kind of like the way it hangs now.

How clever! I put vents in everything for me and my clients since sitting down is what the body does most of the time and who needs bulk in your lap?

Okay, so now I’m rummaging through all those old sweaters in my closet. : ) Great idea!

That vent idea is FANTASTIC! I hate sweaters that have that band on the bottom that make me look larger than I am. Great solution to the problem Claudine!
