Evening Dress Progress — The Slip

The red fabric was the favorite for me and also among the commenters. My red silk charmeuse has some stretch to it, so I could make the slip without fasteners. The white pencil markings on the slip mark where I will put the ruffle.

I used a self-fabric binding. For some reason, I thought it would be hard to attach the binding. Like I would need some special equipment or something. But it was pretty easy.

Did you use a pattern for the slip or is it self-drafted? I need one in navy blue and can’t buy one. Your design looks ideal. Thanks.

I used a pattern, but it’s from Burda World of Fashion (as it used to be called) from 8/99. Not sure how useful that will be to you.
