This fabric thrills me. In the photos, it may appear that it’s a print, but it’s actually a woven plaid that kind of degenerates into stripes then just white near the hem. I bought it with a skirt in mind, but the more I thought about it, the more I could not really think of a flattering skirt style that would take advantage of the fabric. I bought it from the remnant bin, so I only had a little more than a yard, but I actually managed to eke out a pair of (slightly cropped) trousers by using another fabric for pocket linings and waistband facing. I’m psyched. The pattern came from bwof, 9/99. Wow, old. They should be great for what remains of summer.

Adorable, love the top too. Glad you made pants, you would have lost so much of the fabric design in a skirt.
Someone got a camera remote! (I am so used to your kids taking your pics. 😉 )
What a fabulous, unusual fabric. And you definitely showcased it here. Very nice!
I had to get the remote because my kids are in camp all day now. I’ve lost my assistant!
These pants are crazy awesome! I would love to make some kind of gathered knee length skirt out of that beautiful fabric!
amazing, love that fabric!
…oh… I… can… hardly… breathe… that is literally breath-taking!!! Stunning! I can see why you fell in love with that fabric! Beautiful!
This fabric *is* pretty awesome!
The comments above about your camera remote made me smile, and I had to check… I hadn’t noticed the (now obvious, duh!) remote in your hand previously! I was busy looking at that cool cool fabric, and those fun and funky fun pants. Perfect for summery days. Me likey!
