The Louche Big Sister of the Dr Seuss Dress

.
The Dr Seuss Dress
Looks a bit wistful
at her louche older sister
with grace by the fistful

Made of silk charmeuse
and nubby wool crepe
She’s a study in contrast
to make them all gape

Her insides are luxe
with a silk charmeuse lining
to ward off wool’s itch
while wining or dining

some slits in the sleeves
and tulle near the hem
show a bit of skin
the effect is quite femme

If you would like her
She’s in my etsy shop
as a made-to-order item
you’ll wear her nonstop

she may get in trouble
but she could not care less
the louche older sister
of the Dr Seuss Dress

Inside-out view. I underlined it with silk charmeuse

This is lovely and I like the clear hem and open elbows…it gives it an edgy look!

    I agree. Sophisticated and edgy.

I seriously love this dress!! I’d buy it, if I didn’t sew myself. I checked out your Etsy store and love your offerings, how is that going?

Thanks! I have not sold anything yet, but I’m having fun improving my photography and learning about selling on Etsy.
