This blouse is based on a pattern from September Burda. I’m feeling quite a la mode finishing a project in the same month that the magazine is from. Actually, I’d been thinking about making pretty much this very blouse when the magazine arrived, providing me with the pattern. The only changes that I recall making are an FBA and pintucks on the cuffs. I managed to get into the city last weekend, so I bought buttons at M&J. They have such a nice selection there!
This pattern was in the “Folklore” section of the Burda mag. Normally, my eyes glaze over when I see the word folklore in Burda, so it was strange to see something that I wanted to make there.
Blouse back. The sleeves look a little odd near the armpit area. Hmm, I wonder if they will look strange on?
Cuff detail. You can see the pintucks. Also, rather then doing 7 buttonholes on each cuff, I used a narrow bias tube.
Front detail. You can see my nice buttons. It’s a small button with some depth to it, which is just what I wanted.
In other news, I started a What I Wore Flickr album. I’ve been updating it every day, but if I wear an identical outfit again, I won’t photograph it. Here it is: http://www.flickr.com/photos/29164709@N02/sets/72157622051224517/
