The May Burda totally lit a fire under my butt to make a pretty dress! This dress is #125. It’s a Liberty print, and this marks my first experience making a Liberty print for myself. I have used them for my kids’ clothes, but usually I’m not that into florals on me. I like this one, though, and I think I’ll wear it a lot. The belt is from the previous blog entry.
Liberty fabrics are very thin. That would be fine for a more full-skirted dress, but this one needed a little more body. I underlined the dress with a lightweight silk.
I made it to wear with this jacket, but I’m not sure about the combo now. The shop where I bought the fabric had fluorescent lighting, and it looked like the colors matched when I was there.
