My next project will be based on this dress. It’s from an ad for Brahmin handbags. It’s not the best photo, but there’s an ad in the May Vogue where you can see the dress pretty well. It looks like there are no side seams, and the front piece goes around to the back and ends in a V. I really like the seaming and the back neckline. I’m thinking about how to make the front (since that’s not pictured). Originally, I was planning on making it tan, like the one in the photo, and I even have some tan fabric in my stash, but then I was looking through my fabric and saw some blue, which is much more flattering than tan, so I think my dress will be blue. I’ll have to do some serious draping to find out how to get the same effect as the dress pictured.
